Biographical details

Jane Young is an applied epidemiologist who holds dual appointments as the Professor of Cancer Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney, and Executive Director of Research at the Institute of Academic Surgery within Sydney Local Health District, Australia. She has a long-standing research interest in quantifying and understanding clinical variation in cancer care and improving cancer surgical outcomes. Jane spent a sabbatical period within the Usher Institute in early 2018 and returns this year as part of a University of Sydney-University of Edinburgh Partnership Award.
